On June 19, Miranda confronted a woman around 5:00 p.m. and made inappropriate contact with her while she was changing her baby's diaper outside the women's restroom. About an hour before, Miranda tried to force a 16-year-old girl into a fitting room at American Eagle Outfitters.
According to Terrie Clark, spokeswoman for Solicitor-General Sherry Boston, Miranda faces similar charges in Gwinnett County, but he has not yet been tried in court.
Earlier that afternoon on June 19, Miranda allegedly tried to talk to a babysitter while she was pushing children in a stroller in a Norcross neighborhood. She told police he stopped his car beside her and began to masturbate.
Around 12:45 that same day, Miranda allegedly approached a young woman at The Forum shopping center in Norcross and asked her to have sex with him.
Also at the Forum, Miranda reportedly tried to kidnap a woman from Barnes & Noble on June 17.
On Monday, Judge Janis Gordon sentenced Miranda to 18 months with credit for 12 already served in jail, 48 months of intensive probation, to register as a Sex Offender, to complete a psycho-sexual evaluation and treatment as needed, to have no contact with the victims, to stay away from Perimeter Mall and to continue mental health treatment and medication.
