According to Cobb County Fire Department, they were called to the home at 400 Bass Way in Acworth just before 3 a.m. Sunday. When crews arrived, they found the home engulfed in flames.

Police say Jan Mike Mosely, who lives there, found the front door on fire when he arrived home. He tried to put out the flames with a garden hose, but the fire spread quickly.

After fighting the fire for two and a half hours, Cobb Fire was able to extinguish the flames. There were no injuries reported.

After interviewing the resident and several witnesses, police arrested Mosely's neighbor, Lamine Diaw, 34, for purposely setting the fire. He is being held without bond and facing arson charges.
