ATLANTA -- Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying the man who forced a woman into an abandoned house on Forrest Hills Drive, where the victim was beaten and raped.
Police say the assault happened May 17 and say the victim was able to use the suspect's own knife to cut the right side of his neck. The suspect may currently have a scab or scar on his neck.
Police describe the suspect as a black male in his early 20s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 175 pounds. The victim described her attacker as slightly muscular, with medium brown skin and a low Afro. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and black shoes at the time of the attack. The attire was described as a possible work uniform.
The suspect may frequent the Travel Inn on Forrest Hills Drive and the City of East Point.
