ATLANTA -- Authorities say an Atlanta police officer spotted a car driving extremely slow on North Ave. early Friday morning and discovered the driver had been shot.
Police Night Commander Capt. Tim Peek said the officer blue lighted the car and it pulled into a parking lot at North Ave and Northside Drive NW. That's when the officer determined the male driver had been shot in the abdomen.
Capt. Peek said there were also bullet holes in the vehicle.
Peek said the 58-year-old man was in critical condition at the scene, but is now stable at Grady Hospital.
Investigators will have to wait until the victim can talk to learn a motive for the shooting, possible suspects and where it happened.
