HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (AP) -- Police in eastern Georgia have charged a man in the deaths of his parents and brother whose bodies were found in the woods earlier this week.
According to Richmond County jail records, Ryan David Jones is being held without bond in connection with the deaths of his parents, Roosevelt and Edna, and his brother, Russell.
Their bodies were recovered during a brushfire near an elementary school Tuesday in Hephzibah - about 15 miles southwest of Augusta.
Authorities say another one of the couples' sons asked police to perform a welfare check because he had not heard from his parents or brother since Monday. When police arrived, they found blood throughout the home and determined the victims had each been shot at least once.
It's unclear if Jones has an attorney.
