DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. -- A father and two of his children were taken to area hospitals on Saturday following an attack by a boxer and Boston Terrier.
Douglas County Sheriff's Det. Trent Wilson said two young children, ages 3 and 5, were transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston with serious bite wounds.
Wilson said the father of the two boys was also taken to an area hospital. None of the victims' injuries were considered life-threatening.
The attack occurred on Greenbrook Drive in the Willows North subdivision in Douglas County. The dogs ran into the road where the group was walking and began biting the children.
A neighbor was injured while pulling the animals off the children. The Good Samaritan suffered bites, scratches and puncture wounds, and was treated at a local medical center.
The dogs were seized by Douglas County animal control and will undergo tests for rabies.
