DALLAS, Ga. -- The 11Alive morning crew took the show on the road Friday morning to Dallas as part of the summer "This is Home" tour.
The road between the Historic Dallas Theatre and the town square was shut down from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. to safety accommodate the crowd and crew.

As part of the live show, besides giving all the news, weather and traffic seen every day on 11Alive, Karyn Greer, Ted Hall and Chesley McNeil highlighted what makes Dallas unique.
The crew went inside the Historic Dallas Theatre to find out why they were able to survive the recession when other community theaters failed. Their production of Annie is back on the stage this weekend.

The Silver Comet Trail is a jewel of this community for local runners and cyclists. The 61.5-mile trail stretches all the way to the Georgia-Alabama state line.
Last week, the 11Alive morning show was in Stockbridge. Next Friday, the show will hit the road again and travel up I-85 to Norcross. See the full summer schedule.
