CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- The Clayton County Police Department arrested Barron Dino Jones on Thursday for a rape they say he committed in March.
As Sgt. K. T. Hughes reported, police responded to the 2000 block of Old Rex Road on March 31 on a sexual assault call. Police found the victim, and she told them she was attacked by a man who she knew.
The victim told police a black male of Morrow, Georgia named "Brandon" had asked her to come to a new home he had recently purchased.
According to the victim, "Brandon" had told her where to park at the house, but a friend of the victim's had dropped her off. Although the victim knew "Brandon," several months had passed since the two had been in touch.
When the victim arrived to the house to meet "Brandon," she told police that she noticed how messy the house was, the man told her it was messy because it had been a foreclosure in need of repair.
The man then attacked the victim once they were both inside, choked her and tied her to a mattress by her wrist and ankles. Next, the victim said he beat and raped her, then left the home while she was still tied up.
Clayton Co. police began investigating, and identified "Brandon" as Barron Jones; he had made up the name.
Jones faces crimes of rape, aggravated assault and aggravated sodomy.
