Athens runners to hold "Run for Boston" on Monday

ATHENS, Ga. -- Athens Road Runners and Athens Running Company have arranged a 3-mile community run to commemorate the Boston Marathon Bombing victims on Monday, April 22.

According to the #BostonStrongATH Facebook group, the run will begin at 6:30 p.m. at The Bottleworks on Prince Avenue. 

The group will be offering free hot dogs, veggie dogs and Sweet Tea immediately following the race; and selling Sam Adams Beer at Max Canada at 243 W. Washington Street. 

The group suggests participants donate $5 to One Fund Boston, a charity established by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino for the benefit of people affected by the Boston Marathon Bombing on April 15, 2013. 

The Bottleworks on Prince Avenue is located at 297 Prince Avenue in Athens.
