UNADILLA, Ga. (AP) -- The population of a central Georgia town more than doubled this weekend for a huge motorcycle rally.
Over 8,000 bikers converged on Unadilla for a motorcycle rally at Angel City, an Old West-themed development in the Dooly County town.
The city's population is only 3,800, so the event is a huge boost to the area's economy.
Angel City owner Wayne Smith said events at his biker retreat began small but are growing.
Smith says he hopes to dispel myths people may have about bikers being outlaws. He says attendees at the rally include police officers, judges, lawyers and business people.
Angel City bills itself as the first town built just for bikers.
