ATLANTA -- A series of storms swept through metro Atlanta Thursday night, but it did little to bring down the pollen count.

Friday's pollen count is 7,809 -- not much lower than Thursday's count of 8,024.

Pollen counts are taken from 6a.m.-6a.m.  So Today's count is from 6a.m. yesterday to 6a.m. today.

A pollen count higher than 1,500 is considered "extremely high," according to the Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic.

Some of the major contributors to Friday's pollen count are oak, birch, mulberry, pine and sycamore trees.
