LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- More than 100 parishioners from Bhutan with a church here have no way to get to services because their van was stolen from the parking lot a week ago.

Ever since, the First Agape Baptist Church has been struggling to get its Bhutanese members to services, most do not have vehicles. They started using small cars to shuttle everyone back and forth.

"It takes 5 hours to shuttle everyone and only one when we had the van, "said Tek Dharnal, the Church Pastor.

"The van we were using we only had for a month and a half, and then it was stolen, "he added.

The Help Desk set out to find a van that Pastor Dharnal could use to shuttle parishioners on both Saturdays and Sundays until a permanent van could be located or donated.

We contacted Atlanta Shuttle that provides transport to and from the airport and area hotels.

Without hesitation, Lou Asfaw, the Shuttle owner, agreed to help.

He brought the Van to the companion Rehoboth Baptist Church and surprised Dharnal.

"Oh! Praise the Lord," he said.

"The least I can do is to help them out and bring the congregation to the service until they can get a van for themselves," Asfaw said.

"This is an airport shuttle and it carries 10 people but I will add seats to accommodate 15 people," he added.

"I really appreciate that. Thank you. Thank you so much," added Dharnal.

For Church members, an assurance now that they won't miss a service despite the stolen van.
