ATLANTA -- The woman accused of hitting and killing an Atlanta Police officer while driving under the influence last year has pleaded guilty.

Chasity Jones appeared in court Friday morning. The Stone Mountain woman faced 13 charges in the January 2012 death of Officer Gail Thomas, including vehicular homicide, DUI and violating Georgia's Move Over Law.

The actual court room had to be changed because so many fellow officers and friends of Thomas showed up for the appearance.

Thomas was helping another officer investigate an accident on the Downtown Connector near the Brookwood Interchange when she was hit. She died at the scene.

Jones was indicted in February 2012.
