ATLANTA -- In its meeting Wednesday, the Atlanta City Council is slated to take up the matter of proposed salary increases for the mayor and city council members.
The proposed increases, include a bump of $36,800 for the mayor, going from the present salary of $147,500 to $184,300; for city council president, the salary would take a $21,000 increase, going from $41,000 annually to $62,000 annually; and other members of the council would see an increase of $20,827, going from $39,473 to $60,300.
