HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- The Henry County Fire Department will host the Atlanta "Live" Ammonia Release Drill & Hazmat Training Exercise at two locations next week.
On September 24, 25 and 26, two training locations will hold the classroom portion of the exercises, Heritage Park and the Roswell-Alpharetta Public Safety Training Center.
On the third day of training, live releases of anhydrous ammonia exercises will be used at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The Henry County Fire Department has hosted the Live Ammonia Release Drill for eleven years, with training from firefighters and hazmat teams from several nearby states.
The training will be presented by David Binder from Tanner Industries, a national supplier and distributor of anhydrous ammonia, and Jack Johnson from PM Hazmat Training and Consulting Company.
