DULUTH, Ga. -- Officials say a Monday morning fire at a house in Duluth is suspicious because no one was home when a neighbor first spotted flames just after 2 a.m.
When firefighters arrived at the house on Needle Drive, there was heavy smoke and fire throughout the structure, according to Gwinnett County Fire spokesman Lt. Colin Rhoden.
Rhoden said there is substantial fire damage to the house, including a collapse in one room.
The fire appears to have started in a supply room and laundry area in the back of an attached carport. Arson investigators were called to the scene.
No one was injured in the blaze.
