UPDATE (August 29, 2012) -- Charles Martin, an 11 Alive Fugitive of the Week, has been arrested according to the US Marshals. Martin was wanted by Atlanta police for the murder of Joshua Alexis, who was gunned down on Auburn Avenue.

ATLANTA -- Charles Martin is 11Alive's Fugitive of the Week for August 23, 2012. Martin, 24, is wanted for murder by the Atlanta Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
On July 23, 2012 Martin and three associates got into an argument with two men in front of 196 Auburn Avenue. "The motive of the altercation or the argument is still not totally clear," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Eric Heinze.
The argument escalated and one of Martin's friends pulled out a gun and shot the two men. Joshua Alexis, known as "Splurge" was shot in the chest and Simuel Stevenson was shot in the buttocks.
Matthew Nelson, who owns Mangos Restaurant, said Stevenson ran into his business seeking refuge. Nelson said he got his gun and ran out into the street, but the only person he saw was Alexis laying on the street.
"The guy they referred to as Splurge had been shot and he was wounded and gasping for air," Nelson said. "He was in pretty bad shape, and I later found out that he had been shot in the lung."
Alexis died at Grady Memorial Hospital. Stevenson was treated and released.
Antonio Wilson, age 21, turned himself in on August 20, 2012, but Charles Martin and two unidentified males have not been arrested. "We don't know who the two are at this time, and we're seeking any information to help positively identify them," Heinze said.
