Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens, in an interview with WXIA-TV, January 2012
(WXIA) -- Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens will get a prime speaking spot at the Republican National Convention next Wednesday evening -- the same night as Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan.
Olens' speech will be paired with Florida Attorney General Pam Biondi and come right behind remarks from Sen. John McCain (AZ).
As part of Wednesday evening's primetime schedule, Olens' speech comes among speeches from senators John Thune (SD), Rob Portman (OH) and Mitch McConnell (KY). Governors Jeb Bush (FL), Tim Pawlenty (MN), Luis Fortuño (PR), and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will also speak during the Wednesday evening session.
Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said, "We want to remind Americans that we don't have to settle for four more years of high unemployment, low pay and deep debt. We will devote Wednesday night to showing the country that Mitt Romney's 'Plan for a Stronger Middle Class' will restore our country as the best place in the world to find a job, start a business or hire a worker."
Priebus said Wednesday night's program will show that Mitt Romney's approach is "both optimistic and achievable" for the American public.
