Sneiderman's booking photo from the DeKalb County Jail
ATLANTA, Ga. -- "The first way we heard that she was being arrested was when we got calls from the press," Sneiderman's attorney told 11Alive News.
Sneiderman's lawyers said they offered to turn her in should she be charged, however they weren't forewarned of Thursday's arrest.
Andrea Sneiderman was at her house on Lake Oconee when she was arrested.
Sneiderman's husband was killed outside of a Dunwoody daycare in 2010.
Attorney's for Sneiderman called the arrest "an unnecessary media circus" and said she would have "turned herself in."
A bond hearing for Sneiderman is scheduled for August 21.
