ATLANTA (WXIA) - Atlanta's next great sports star is now in kindergarten. Six-year-old Ross Bernath made an unassisted triple play during a recent game at Atlanta's Chastain Park.

That's right, Ross Bernath made an unassisted triple play. As to how rare that is, in the history of Major League Baseball, only 15 unassisted triple plays have ever been recorded, dating back to 1909.

Ross caught a pop fly for the first out, stepped on third base to put out the runner there for the second one, and tagged out another runner who was trying to advance for the third out.

The video of the play made the top ten plays shown on ESPN Thursday morning, and has gone viral on YouTube.

11Alive's Jerry Carnes got to sit down with Ross at Chastain Park Thursday evening.
