GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- While this week's ice storm has stranded many home at home for more than 24 hours, some residents in Gwinnett County are coming together to help each other.
Gwinnett Medical Center has something of a baby boom during the storm. The staff delivered 28 babies in 24 hours. Some of those were scheduled deliveries; others were last-minute additions.
The hospital was fully staffed, so the deliveries went smoothly.
Many of the families were finally able to leave the hospital on Thursday after the storm had passed.
