Ulysesse Cleckley, 21, managed to get out of the bus at around 5:30 p.m. on English Avenue in northwest Atlanta. Several agencies, including the Atlanta Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol, began a manhunt.
At around 7:18 p.m., Cleckley was arrested at the North Avenue MARTA station in Midtown.
Fulton County Sheriff's spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said Cleckley was originally charged with first-degree burglary, criminal attempt to commit burglary, second-degree criminal property damage and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. He will now face additional charges related to the escape.
Cleckley will have his first court appearance at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
He was arrested in October 2012 in connection with a Buckhead SWAT standoff that shut down a busy Ga. 400 exit.
