SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Police in coastal Georgia say they're working to identify a set of human remains that were discovered in a wooded area near an elementary school.
Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police spokesman Julian Miller told the Savannah Morning News that a state Department of Transportation worker inspecting property found a human bone Monday afternoon.
Investigators say responding officers found additional bones in the area and sent the remains to a crime lab for analysis.
The person's identity and cause of death are unclear.
