ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Police in Alpharetta along with the FBI say they are looking for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank branch Tuesday morning.
They said at about 11:15 a.m., a white male, about 5-foot-9-inches tall and weighing between 175 and 190 pounds came to the bank and demanded money while brandishing a silver-colored firearm.
They said after receiving an unspecified amount of money, he left the bank on foot wearing a dark Harley Davidson t-shirt, blue jeans, a dark cap and sunglasses. Investigators said they believe he is responsible for a robbery Monday night at a CVS store in Roswell at about 7 p.m. The FBI says the suspect had a handgun in that robbery, and was wearing the same t-shirt.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Wells Fargo is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the suspect.
Anyone with any information on the suspect or the robbery is asked to call the Alpharetta Police Department at 678-297-6322, the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-4100 or the FBI at 404-679-9000.
