CALHOUN, Ga. -- Authorities have arrested two students in an on-going alleged hazing incident that involved members of the Gordon Central High School boys soccer team.
According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Department, authorities received a report of battery against a male juvenile against another male juvenile on March 16. Authorities began and investigation after the report was received.
The report alleged that the battery was part of a hazing ritual performed by the soccer team.
The department conducted an investigation that resulted in charges of aggravated sexual battery and false imprisonment against one male juvenile and charges of party-to-the-crime of Aggravated Sexual Battery and False imprisonment against a second male juvenile.
Authorities say the the investigation revealed over a dozen victims, and over a dozen alleged perpetrators. And that the hazing may have occurred for more than a year.
Authorities say more arrests from different jurisdictions could be on the horizon because some of the alleged crimes took place outside of Gordon County.
