ATLANTA -- Fans attending Sunday's Atlanta Falcons NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks are encouraged to arrive early because of anticipated heavy traffic delays.
"Fans attending Sunday's game should plan to arrive early because of the extremely heavy traffic that comes with hosting home playoff games," said Falcons SVP of sales & marketing Jim Smith. "The Georgia Dome has had an electric atmosphere all season, and we are all looking forward to a great game on Sunday."
Gates at the Georgia Dome open at 11 a.m. Pregame festivities at Falcons Landing start at 10 a.m. When they arrive at the Georgia Dome, fans will receive a Falcons Rise Up battle flag, specially designed for Sunday's game. During the National Anthem before the game, a large American flag will cover the entire field, stretching from endzone to endzone.
During halftime, the national finals of the NFL's Punt, Pass and Kick will take place.
The Falcons remind fans that the game is sold out and there is a danger of counterfeit tickets being sold on what they call the "secondary market." The team says the only place authorized by the NFL to resell tickets is the NFL Ticket Exchange, online at http://www.nfl.com/ticketexchange/.
With the game being sold out, fans without prepaid parking arrangements are advised to take MARTA to the game and avoid any driving hassles.
