FULTON COUNTY -- Police are searching for the driver who struck and seriously injured a pedestrian early Monday morning.
Fulton Police Detective Melissa Parker said the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Old National Highway south of Jolly Road.
The victim, a middle-aged female, was attempting to cross the highway from the west side to the east side when a southbound auto struck her. After impact, the vehicle fled the scene south bound on Old National Highway.
The woman was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police were told by witnesses that the vehicle may have been a silver or dark gray Honda.
