On Monday, Atlanta Police said a man flagged down a Checker Cab outside the Georgian Terrace and asked to be driven to Morehouse College. Once they passed the City Detention Center downtown, police said the man pulled out a gun and ordered the driver to take him to Lee Street and Tucker Avenue when he robbed the driver then got out.

The suspect is described as a 5 foot 10 inch tall black male with an average build. Police released a photo of him from the cab's dashboard camera on Friday. Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call Investigator P J Roberson at 404 441-0707.

In Marietta, Cobb County Police are looking for three men suspected of robbing a taxi driver Friday morning. The robbery happened at around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hollydale Court and Red Berry Lane.

Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said the taxi driver was dispatched to a house on Hollydale Court. When he reached the intersection, two men climbed into the back of his cab, while a third suspect stayed outside and started demanding money.

One of the men in the back of the taxi pointed a gun at the driver while he gave cash and some of his personal items to the suspects, Pierce said.

The driver described the suspects as black men, and said the one outside the taxi was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and light-skinned, with wavy hair and light-colored eyes.
