STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- Police are searching for a man suspected of falsely reporting bombs at two Henry County grocery stores.

Henry County Police Maj. Jason Bolton said the bomb threats were called in on Dec. 1 from a payphone at the Sunoco on Highway 138 in Stockbridge.

A person of interest, whose name may be Mitch, told 911 operators that bombs were going to go off at two different Kroger stores in Stockbridge, Bolton said.

Officers evacuated and searched both stores, but did not find any bombs or explosive materials.

Investigators are now working to identify the man accused of making the call.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Henry County Police at 770-288-8264.
