STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Friends and neighbors woke up to horrible news Friday morning.

The much loved Mallett family lost three of their own in a horrific car wreck on the New Jersey Turnpike Thursday morning.

Friends and family came out to the Mallet's business Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery to leave their condolences in the form of cards and flowers.

"I picked this blue orchid because Miss Jacquie was definitely a Stephenson Jaguar fan," Irene Mackson told us just outside the store door.

Jacqueline Mallett, along with her husband Ainsworth and son Drew died in the crash.  Their daughter Nicole survived with what friends describe as minor injuries.

"They're good people and I'm very blown away by this whole incident and my prayers are with the family," Mackson said.

At this time not much is known about the crash.  It involved two tractor-trailers. Ainsworth was driving when it happened.

The Maletts also lost their family dog in the accident.  Police say their Toyota was hit around 10:00 a.m.  Now Nicole, the only survivor will have to bury her family before New Years.

"And we pray for Nicky.  That God would take care of her.  Because I know she's dealing with a lot," Mackson said.

Camelia Foster also brought flowers to the restaurant, but only found herself hurting even more because the flowers reminded her so much of Ainsworth.

"He was a gardener - an immaculate gardener.  He loved flowers.  It's going to be tough.  You don't find neighbors like that - they were true neighbors," Foster said in a broken voice while holding back tears.
