ATLANTA -- While San Francisco put nine players on the NFC pro bowl roster, and Chicago and Seattle had five each, the team with the best record in the NFC had three selections.
Matt Ryan, Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones were named to the NFC roster. Before the selections were made public, receiver Roddy White brushed off the idea possibly being omitted would be a big deal.
"I want to win the Lombardi (Super Bowl trophy)," White, who made the previous four pro bowls, said in the Falcons locker room Wednesday.
The irony is, any player who is in the post season really doesn't want to play in the game, because Super Bowl participants will be otherwise occupied.
