ATLANTA -- The breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, First Watch Restaurants, announced on Thursday that it will acquire two company-owned restaurants in Atlanta-based J. Christopher's Restaurants.
J. Christopher's has locations in Johns Creek and Smyrna.
According to a spokesperson for First Watch, terms of the deal have not yet been announced. First Watch has also gained rights to purchase the brand, concept and all intellectual property.
Ken Pendery, President and CEO of First Watch said, "Acquiring these two high-performing J. Christopher's restaurants is an ideal way for us to establish an immediate, solid base upon which we can expand throughout not only Atlanta but Georgia and the rest of the Southeast."
Both local restaurants will be converted to First Watch over the next few months, the spokesperson said. Current management and staff will remain in place during the switch.
The first J. Christopher's restaurant opened in Marietta in 1996.
"We welcome the First Watch brand into the Atlanta market and are certain that that they will enjoy the same level of success that they have in so many other communities," Dick Holbrook, Chief Executive Officer of J. Christopher's Restaurants said.
