Hall County Sheriff's deputies say their investigation into the death of 16-year-old Hannah Truelove is at risk of stalling out as several potential witnesses refuse to cooperate with detectives.
Truelove was reported missing August 23. Her body was found the following day behind her apartment complex near Lake Lanier.
Investigators say tips flooded the Sheriff's Office in the days after Truelove's death but have since slowed to a trickle.
Deputies have not said exactly how the teen died or revealed a motive for the crime.
Initially, investigators say they were intrigued by messages on Truelove's twitter account which mention a "stalker" and feeling "scared" in the days leading up to her death. However, detectives now say it appears the tweets are more likely just the musings of a teenager girl rather than clues to her murder.
