ATLANTA -- Ramon Rodriguez of Clayton County has won $1 million from a forgotten Powerball ticket that he found in the console of his truck.

According to Kimberly Starks of the Georgia Lottery, Rodriguez, 54, matched five of six numbers from an August 8 drawing, and claimed his prize on Wednesday.

"It's been in my truck for two months," he said. "I had put it in the center console."

Rodriguez purchased his winning ticket from an Ellenwood Texaco Gas Station, and chose the numbers based on birthdays of his family. When he realized he won, after checking the numbers on his computer, Rodriguez woke up his wife and daughter to share the news.
