Chamblee holding Halloween-themed contests

CHAMBLEE, Ga. -- The Chamblee Halloween Spooktacular will take place on Saturday, October 27 at Keswick Park, with several contests throughout the day.

First a Hustle for Hope 5K race and Fun Run will begin at 2 p.m. Runners and walkers can wear their Halloween costumes, and take part in the race to benefit the Elaine Clark Center in Chamblee. Winners and top finishers will be recognized, along with prizes for best costume.

The costume contest will follow the race, and is scheduled for 3 p.m. Participants can dress up in individual costume categories, or as a group. The number is limited to entries, and preregistration ends October 25.

During Spooktacular, Chamblee Parks and Recreation has a number of other activities lined up, including a hay ride, fun house, pumpkin painting, face painting, a moonwalk, obstacle courses and games.
