DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- As testimony resumed in the trial of a man accused of killing two DeKalb County police officers, the defense asked for a mistrial.

The attorney for William Woodard called for the mistrial after an officer in the investigation said Woodard was "wanted for murder."

The defense claims using the word "murder" during testimony was prejudicial.

The judge, however, disagreed and denied the motion for a mistrial.

Woodard is accused of gunning down officers Eric Barker and Ricky Bryant in January 2008.   The officers were working an off-duty security job at an apartment complex in Decatur.
