PHILADELPHIA -- Tim Hudson worked 7 1/3 strong innings to guide the Atlanta Braves to a 2-1 triumph over the Philadelphia Phillies in the finale of a three-game set.

Hudson (16-6) allowed just one unearned run on two hits and struck out four to pick up his fourth win in six starts.

David Ross had a solo homer and Dan Uggla drove in a run for the Braves, winners in seven of nine.

Craig Kimbrel worked a perfect ninth to earn his 39th save of the season.

Atlanta's magic number to clinch a playoff berth is two games.

Chase Utley knocked in the lone run for the Phillies, who trail the St. Louis Cardinals by 4 1/2 games for the final NL wild card spot.

Cliff Lee (6-8) allowed two runs -- one earned -- on nine hits and struck out 11 over eight innings to absorb the loss.
