ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police have released a sketch of a man believed to be responsible for an attempted sexual assault at a Campbellton Road apartment.
According to a police report, the assault happened on Aug. 25, when the suspect begged the victim to have sex and promised her that "he just needed three minutes of her time because he was going afterwards to get a tattoo."
The report says the suspect pushed the victim against her dining room wall and tried to pull her pants down, but she overpowered him. A neighbor heard the victim screaming and scared the suspect away.
Police spokesman Carlos Campos said the suspect, who goes by the street name Faco, is a dark-skinned black man who is roughly 32 years old, but looks younger. He is about 6 feet tall and has an average build.
The suspect wears his hair in dreadlocks that hang past his shoulders, has two gold teeth on the left side of his mouth, and has one tattoo on his forearm and another on his neck. He is known as a neighborhood tattoo artist and is often spotted carrying a red backpack, Campos said.
Anyone who can formally identify Faco and lead police to him is asked to call 911, the Atlanta Police Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260, or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS.
Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
