NEWNAN, Ga. -- Bonnell Aluminum donated and personally delivered over 1,600 Merriam-Webster dictionaries to Coweta County elementary schools last week.

Dean Jackson of Coweta Schools said students in every third grade class of 19 schools were given dictionaries.

Bonnell has donated dictionaries county-wide for eleven years to promote literacy and academics among elementary students.

Plant Manager of Bonnell, Rick Miller said, "Supporting our schools and the students is very important for Bonnell. It's also a lot of fun for us to get out and visit classrooms."

Miller, along with Bonnell Senior Assistant Operations Manager Mike Caldwell started off the school visits at Western Elementary. They played games with students that required using a dictionary to win.
