ROSWELL, Ga. -- James "Rusty" Grant is Roswell's new deputy police chief.
Grant comes to Roswell from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Regional Drug Office in Canton. He brings more than 30 years of experience in investigating violent crime, property crime, drug enforcement and technology to the position.
"I'm looking forward to working with Rusty. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him. He is a leader in Georgia law enforcement," Roswell Police Chief Dwayne Orrick said in a statement.
Grant holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University and a master's degree in public administration from Columbus State University.
His first day as Roswell's deputy police chief will be Monday, Oct. 1.
