ATLANTA -- Federal prosecutors have charged five men with raping and pimping out teenage girls in Atlanta-area hotels.
Two of the men -- 25-year-old Richard Douglas King and 21-year-old Jonathan Christopher Branch, appeared in federal court Friday.
Three others -- 25-year-old Fabian Terran Murray, 24-year-old Joshua Thomas Hill and 24-year-old Clinton Saintvil -- were arraigned earlier.
Prosecutors say the men forced three 14-year-old girls and a 16 year old to perform sex acts for money after soliciting customers on classified ads website Backpage.com.
Prosecutors say the men were part of a gang called Da M.O.B. They are charged in two separate indictments based on the victims and alleged gang members involved. The men are charged with conspiring to engage in sex trafficking of minors and sex trafficking of minors. Three of the men also face firearms charges.
Prosecutors say the men also choked and beat the girls when they refused to be prostituted or tried to escape.
