Georgia Natural Gas Providers release their rates in units called therms once a month.  For September, Infinite Energy comes in the lowest at .49 per therm. Add in distribution fees and the average bill is $34.07 a month, $711 for the year according the Georgia Public Service Commission.

To decide whether to lock in a rate, take a look at your bills and see what rate you're paying. Also review your current contract to see if there are any charges for switching providers.
