  • ATLANTA, Ga. -- Police are trying to identify a couple wanted in two separate armed robberies in Buckhead. In each case the couple had a stroller with a baby in tow.

According to reports, the two robberies happened near the Publix Supermarket on Lakeside Drive.

On Saturday night a 60-year old man was walking home from the store on Lakeside Drive when a suspect walked up behind him and stuck a gun to the back of his head. John Bailey is a friend of the victim's. "From what we understand he had a gun put to his head and said 'give me your money'," Bailey said.

The victim told police the suspect also asked him for his PIN and ran. He told police he first noticed the couple behind him and heard a baby crying in the stroller.

Atlanta police released a surveillance video from the Publix that shows the robbing couple with the baby at the store before the robbery.

Police believe the couple was involved in another robbery the next night on Sunday. Two men were robbed on Oak Valley Drive on their way home from the Publix. According to one of the victims the man approached he and a friend from behind and demanded money, credit cards and their wallets at gunpoint. They said the suspect threatened to "blow their heads off."

The suspect left the scene on foot. Witnesses say the man was wearing a blue shirt with lime green outlining and stone wash jean shorts.

Bailey, a neighborhood representative, said security measures are being  beefed up. "They've hired an off duty police officer up the street from us," he said. "And we've hired a Fulton County Sheriff Officer to help on our block to patrol in the evening."

Atlanta police said they would be stepping up patrols in the neighborhoods where the robberies happened. They also said they have recieved good tips from the surveillance video they released.
