ATLANTA (WXIA) - Taco Bell has announced plans to begin serving breakfast in 10 western states this week, with designs on eventually rolling it out across the nation.
The new 11-item menu is burrito heavy, headed up by one called the Grande Skillet Burrito for $2.79. The company is including Johnsonville brand sausage, Cinnabon pastries, Tropicana orange juice and Seattle's Best coffee on the menu under the name "First Meal."
The company says the food items are customizable, which means, for example, cheese could be replaced by salsa on an item.
There's no word on when the breakfast menu will spread eastward to Metro Atlanta.
Taco Bell is only the latest fast food chain to enter the breakfast category, after the entry of Subway last year.
