CLAYTON COUNTY, GA -- Eight people are now in custody after a bust at what investigators say could be a meth lab in Rex.
Police were originally called to a home on Evans Drive for a home invasion late Tuesday.
When they went inside, they found four people tied up with duct tape.
"As they continued to clear the home, they did manage to stumble on some meth and a lot of cash," said Capt. Tina Daniel with Clayton County Police. They also found stolen vehicles.
Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration and the fire department's HAZMAT team spent the night clearing the house of dangerous materials used to make Methamphetamine. The county sheriff's department also helped with the operation.
The four people who were duct taped are in custody, along with four other suspects. Police haven't sorted out who will be charged with what yet.
