East Point Det. Jesse Burden is being held in the Fulton County jail on charges of aggravated assault, false imprisonment and battery
FAIRBURN, Ga. -- Fulton County authorities are investigating a fight where one East Point police officer says she was choked and held at gunpoint by another officer.
Police spokeswoman Det. Melissa Parker says the early Monday
morning incident happened in south Fulton County near Fairburn.
Parker says the female officer told police she escaped after being
held at gunpoint for two hours and went to a neighbor's house to

department. The two are not married.
Capt. Russell Popham with East Point police identified the
suspect as Det. Jesse Burden. Popham says Burden has been put on leave with pay pending the outcome of an investigation. He declined to identify the woman.
Burden is being held in the Fulton County jail on charges of
aggravated assault, false imprisonment and battery.
