Hundreds packed the Birmingham United Methodist Church in Alpharetta today to remember the life of a north Georgia PeaceCorps volunteer murdered in Africa.
In 2007 Catherine 'Kate' Puzey went to Africa in hopes of making a difference in just one person's life. She volunteered to teach English and be an advocate for women and children in the West African country of Benin. On March 11th she was found murdered outside her home. She was 24-years old.
Puzey was expected to be home in Georgia this summer. So far, no word on where the investigation stands or who may be responsible.
