The breads and baked goods are marked down at least 50 percent every day. "The items we carry are Arnold Bread, Entenmann's, Thomas' English Muffins, and Boboli Pizza shells as well," said Manager Torrence White.
The store is in front of the Company's Warehouse, where trucks pick up and deliver goods to grocery stores across metro Atlanta. The items are brought back to the Outlet store when they are nearing their expiration dates.
Latrisse Addison recently stocked up on bread, cakes and cookies. "In the stores these are like four dollars each here you can get a couple of them for five," the college student said as she pointed to several Entenmann's baked goods.
White said once the items expire, homeless shelters pick them up. He said they are also given to farmers to use in feed for pigs. He said many customers visit the store monthly and stock their freezer with bread and other items.
The store is located at 1611 Roswell Road in Marietta. It is open 8am to 5pm Monday through Wednesday, closed Thursday, 8am to 5pm Friday and Saturday, closed Sunday.
