NEW YORK --- Nearly 30 teens from North Georgia are among 300 kids from across the nation selected by Camp Broadway to take part in the 82nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.

Among the teens are a group of 5 from the Athens area; 14 year old Alex Dominicali, her 10 year old sister Allie, and 13 year old Hallie Javetz, all of Athens, 15 year old Catherine Formato of Winder, and 13 year old Madison Brooks of Monroe.

Camp Broadway is an award-winning theater arts education company.

The girls will perform throughout the parade when New York City's Central Park takes center stage on the Winter Wonderland float. A recreation of Central Park's Gothic Bridge sets the magical tone followed by vintage streetlights, illuminated Christmas trees, fresh fallen snow and a frozen pond. On board for the magic will be Kermit the Frog and the Camp Broadway kids who will perform the Bill Schermerhorn/Wesley Whatley-penned "I Believe in Santa Claus."

This is the second year that the Dominicali sisters and Formato will participate in the parade and the first for Javetz and Brooks.

The parade will be broadcast live on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27 on NBC and 11Alive.
