Anything that "takes the hard work out of yard work" is a winner for Marietta resident Angela.
"Anybody who's planted a plant that has not been in prepared dirt knows the Georgia dirt, and it's clay and it's hard," she says.
The hard Georgia clay makes it tough to dig holes and plant trees, shrubs and bushes. So Angela wants to see if the Awesome Auger helps her plant some annuals with ease.
She attaches the auger to a drill and is ready to dig.
Unfortunately, the Awesome Auger doesn't seem to work very well. Angela tries again.
"Alright, I'm ready for a nap," she says. "It's not going."
She moves the auger to softer ground. But the tool appears to get to a certain point and then stop digging.
"It gets to where the shaft is and stops," Angela says.
The product comes with two different sized augers, but one does not even fit Angela's drill.
The Awesome Auger promises to save energy, money and backache. But does it?
"I would say big thumbs down," Angela says.
